Highlights from the Xbox Showcase 2024: “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” and More Unveiled

The Xbox Showcase 2024 commenced on Sunday, heralding the advent of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,” set to launch on October 25th and to be accessible immediately via the paid Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Xbox’s luminary, Phil Spencer, premiered the inaugural gameplay visuals of the latest “Call of Duty” installment at the gathering, hosted at the David Geffen Theater in Los Angeles.

The event also featured unveilings of “Gears of War: E-Day,” the precursor to “Fable,” titled “Fable: The Dark Ages,” and a reboot of the “Fable” franchise, the latter two slated for release in 2025.

In the wake of the triumph of Amazon Prime Video’s “Fallout” series, Xbox declared a new expansion update for Bethesda Studios’ “Fallout 76,” arriving on June 12, dubbed “Horizon Valley.” This new addition will allow “Fallout” aficionados to assume the role of a spectral entity.
